Happy Halloween Haunted House

by Tara Knight, posted Wednesday, November 03, 2010
What a weekend! a few hardy souls come out the the Kerrisdale Choices market to help out with some spooky fun!

WIth a smile on our faces, a few Ripplers helped transform the Choices store into a spooky haunted fun house of scary clowns. A professional face painter was even on hand to give each of us a scary clown face!

After decorating, our team stayed to scare and haunt hundreds of children and families who toured the house and stayed for a BBQ to readies funs for the local montessori. A fun and different event - Happy Halloween….!

Flippin' great event at Kits House

by Tara Knight, posted Saturday, October 23, 2010
Kitsilano House is a centre of the community in Kits, and what better way to help than feeding a lot of hungry neighbours!

The Ripple Effect team got up a little early on Saturday to help out at the fundraising fall event, which featured a heaps of great costumes, live bands, a "pumpkin patch" and hearty pancake breakfast!

Our Ripplers contributed by making enough pancakes to feed a small army - we would recommend them to any mess kitchen! From mixing batter to manning a seriously impressive grill, our team did a fantastic job of turning out hot cakes for hungry neighbours, and ended up helping serve them up with local MP Joyce Murray and City of Vancouver Councilor Suzanne Anton. .

Stay tuned for some pics of this great event!
