Ripple Effect supports non-profit organizations by offering a team of committed young professionals to assist your volunteer event(s).
It is core to how our organization serves the community.
Young professionals represent an ideal target market to the non-profit sector. They are smart, energetic, professional and enthusiastic. They are keen to make a difference through volunteering when time permits. If you are seeking a group of volunteers to assist your event, or if would like to start a volunteer event and need a group of volunteers to make it happen, please contact Ripple Effect by clicking on the link below and complete a simple form to share your volunteer event/concept with us.
We can offer a team of young professionals tailored to your needs, from 6 - 20 volunteers.
Volunteer projects Ripple Effect seeks include these key characteristics:
The event is on the weekend or evening. All our members are professionals who are simply not available during normal business hours.
- Each volunteer project is 3 – 4 hours in duration. Our members have limited time to volunteer, and want to give what they can. Keeping event participation to 3 – 4 hours ensures a great experience for our members and high energy plus enthusiasm for partner volunteer organizations.
- The event does not require our members to seek sponsorship or promote a particular cause. Members are llooking for hands-on volunteer experiences that require them to work with people in the community, roll their sleeves up, and even get their hands dirty.
- There is also a strong desire to assist more cultural and inter-dominational volunteer events. This is indicative of our members wanting to connect with diverse contributors to our communities.
Some of the non-profit organizations we work with:
- 1st Baptist Shelter Program
- Canadian Institute for the Blind
- Richmond Fruit Tree Sharing Project
- YWCA of Vancouver
- Keep Vancouver Spectacular
- Kits Neighbourhood House
- Vancouver Foodbank
